This kit contains:
♦ 4 painted Ancient Construct Grappler miniatures
♦ 20 sets of painted Ancient Construct variant parts
♦ 4 Ancient Construct character cards
♦ 12 double-sided Ancient Construct variant cards
♦ 4 sets of player punchboard
♦ 4 copies of this orientation sheet
♦ 1 painted Akanke prize miniature
♦ 1 Akanke prize character card
♦ 1 Akanke prize punchboard
♦ 2 Akanke prize level up cards
This kit is intended to provide prizes for a six-week program in which participation prizes are handed out on a weekly basis. In addition, it contains a grand prize for the winner of the event.
Players receive new participation prizes each week in the form of Ancient Construct base miniature plus variant parts and cards, culminating in a total of six different ways to build their Construct. At the end of six weeks after players have played six scenarios, the player with the best record wins the grand prize.
This kit is designed for four players who play six games each. For prize distribution, we suggest the following:
♦ Participation Prizes (all players):
1 Ancient Construct Grappler miniature, 1 Ancient Construct character card, 5 sets of Ancient Construct variant parts, 3 double-sided Ancient Construct variant cards, 1 set of player punchboard.
♦ Grand Prize (for the winner of the finale):
1 Akanke miniature, 1 Akanke character card, 2 Akanke level up cards, 1 set of Akanke punchboard.
If you plan to have more than four players in your Storyline event, you’ll need one kit for every four players involved. At the end of the event, award each of the top players a grand prize. For example, if you have eight players the top two each receive 1 grand prize.
A game of Onslaught is played on an 18″ x 24″ game board and players need room for their character cards and other game components. We suggest a 3’x3′ play area for each pair of players when planning space for your tables.
We suggest recruiting someone in your community to help you run the event. This person should be excited for the game, fun, and dependable. They should not participate as a player but will receive prizes for their effort.
Most tournaments use the Swiss system to determine pairings. Players are matched against others with a similar ratio of wins to losses over a set number of rounds. This should be at least three games for 8 players or four games for 12 players. Use the total points earned from each scenario from the results sheet to break any ties.
Each Storyline Organized Play scenario should take in the neighborhood of three to four hours, depending on players’ level of experience. Set aside enough time to accommodate late arrivals, reading through the rules of the new scenario, and for players to read their new Ancient Construct variant card and assemble their miniatures. Each week we’ll post a new scenario for players to enjoy and detail the corresponding participation prizes to hand out.
If you have four to seven players in your event, we suggest running a Round Robin-style tournament. In this style of event, players play one another an equal number of times, accumulating points as they win (or none if they lose). At the end of the sixth scenario, the player with the best record is the winner. Use the total points earned from each scenario from the results sheet to break any ties. The website above includes full rules for running a Storyline Round Robin event.

To help track a player’s score, they should keep a record of their opponents, their wins and losses and the number of points they scored each game. This can be done by providing each player with a printed results sheet, which can be found above.
